You then have the right to all the connections you want for 1h15. Day tickets are also available for 8.60 euros.
It's up to you to decide advantage.

When you enter the metro station, there are machines at your disposal.
You can pay with your bank card or in cash. You can choose between a single ticket or a ten-trip ticket (T-10 abonats). You can choose your language on the machines for instructions in French.

Good to know!

Your ten-trip card covers not only the metro, but also the bus (day and night!) and streetcars.

Visit tourist busesThe cable car and blue tramway are not part of the Catalan transport company TMB.

Are there subways in Barcelona all the time? And at night?

On weekdays, Sundays and public holidays, the metro runs from 5 a.m. until midnight. On Fridays and the eves of public holidays, it starts at 5 a.m. and continues until late at night, at 2 a.m.
On Saturdays, the metro doesn't stop never.

If you have to return by public transport and unfortunately fall outside the timetable, I invite you to use the night busses which are extremely well thought-out, frequent and can also be used with your T-10 metro card at no extra charge.

How safe is the Barcelona metro?

Barcelona's metro is gigantic but very well designed. There are agents at almost every station in the city. Agents are rarer in the smaller stations, where you'll find machines instead.

The only problemis pickpocketing.
And subways are the ideal place to be, since people are sometimes crowded together and have just taken out their wallets to pay for their journey.

Do it right attention and keep a close eye on your bag. There are long queues of tourists who have had their valuables stolen... But don't worry, it's often the only thing that can happen to you on the Barcelona metro.

And at night?

It goes without saying that precautions as in all big cities when night falls, but Barcelona is not a dangerous city.

At night, night buses and subways are very popular with night owls. You'll almost never be alone waiting on the platform or in the trains. It's very busy, and Barcelonans are very friendly, helping each other out when there are problems.
Visit contraryBut if you're just leaving a festival or disco, the subways and buses can be crowded, even in the wee hours of the morning.

Access for people with reduced mobility

Each metro station is equipped with a elevator to take you directly to the platforms. The elevator is designed for people with reduced mobility, but also for parents travelling with baby carriages... Follow the signs, you'll always find access for people with reduced mobility.

What is FGC?

Please note FCGthe Catalan railway company, these are the trains that link Barcelona and the nearby towns are sometimes also found in metro stations, but are a different kind of companion. When you see FCG or Rodalies, you'll have to buy a different ticket from a different machine.

Generally speaking, a ten-trip card is much cheaper and pays for itself in 3-4 trips. You can share the cards if you are several travelers.

Barcelona's metro is particularly simple, inexpensive and easy to get to.
