La Barceloneta beach promenade<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Barcelona has some beaches<\/strong> just a few minutes' walk from the tourist center.<\/p>\n

A pleasant day out consists of a stroll through the old town (the Gothic quarter, the Born or Raval district), which lies on either side of the Ramblas<\/a>. After discovering the hyper-trendy boutiques in these different neighborhoods, stroll along the Rambla<\/strong> and head for the beach. La Barceloneta<\/a>the nearest beach to the town,<\/strong> It's a gathering place for sunbathing during the day, with a cocktail from the bar next door, a Xiringuito, or perfect for an aperitif at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

You'll be greeted by sand sculptures and vendors of all kinds: cocktails, soft drinks, beachwear, strolling masseurs...<\/p>\n

And sometimes it's even a necessity when it's so hot in summer...<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Rock out at Razzmatazz or Apolo<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A perfect city for partying. Barcelona never sleeps<\/strong> and we love the festive atmosphere of the Mediterranean city combo where life is good and beautiful mixed with a genuine arts and culture scene<\/strong>...<\/p>\n

There's always somewhere to party, and there's always some nightclubs<\/a> that are really worth it.<\/p>\n

The Apolo<\/strong> near the Paral.lel metro station is home to an underground scene and the Razzmatazz<\/strong>This legendary venue, with its five halls, offers all types of music.<\/p>\n

Stroll along Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia and admire the Gaudi houses<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia used to link the small village of Gr\u00e0cia with the center of Barcelona. A small village with smaller, human-sized houses.<\/p>\n

The Passeig starts at Pla\u00e7a Catalunya. Luxury boutiques abound, alongside more economical brands. There's something for every taste. There are plenty of caf\u00e9s along the way, too, and this thoroughfare lends itself to a quick coffee and cake. A caf\u00e9 \"solo\" or a \"cafe con leche\".<\/p>\n

It's also where Gaudi built two magnificent mansions.<\/p>\n

Visit Casa Mil\u00e0<\/a><\/em><\/strong>better known as the Pedrera<\/em><\/strong>. A majestic building on a street corner, where the curves of the stone are remarkable. Across the street, the Casa Batllo<\/a><\/em>is superbly colored.<\/p>\n

Both buildings can be visited, and the interior is well worth a visit.<\/p>\n

Take either the harbor funicular or the Tibidabo funicular to get some height...<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Visit Tibidabo<\/strong><\/em>is the hill overlooking the city, from which you can see the Basilique du Sacr\u00e9 C\u0153ur and the Parc d'attraction du Tibidabo<\/a>.<\/strong> It's a beautiful day to take the funicular back into Collserola Natural Park.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In just a few minutes, you'll be overlooking the city from a magical vantage point. The whole city is yours...<\/p>\n

Eating tapas in El Barrio G\u00f3tico (Barri G\u00f2tic)<\/strong><\/h2>\n
