Barcelona is a Mediterranean city, and sometimes it gets hot... Very hot!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Temperatures in the middle of July or August can rise to over 35 degrees. It's even too hot to go to the beach.<\/p>\n

And there's a great alternative to the sometimes crowded summer beaches: indoor and outdoor swimming pools<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Of course, they're also overcrowded, but some swimming pools are gigantic...<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In addition, numerous pools offer a whole range of relaxing activities, not to mention panoramic views of the whole of beautiful Barcelona!<\/p>\n

I suggest a short list of the city's most beautiful pools<\/em> <\/strong>classified according to their main characteristics!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The pool with its panoramic view...<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Montjuic<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is part of the Olympic complex that hosted the 1992 Games.<\/p>\n

The infrastructure dates back to 1923, and although it's a little dated, it hasn't lost its cachet.<\/p>\n

A breathtaking view of Barcelona, stretching to the sea and as far as Tibidabo<\/a>\u00a0!<\/p>\n

The ideal place to observe the city from above.<\/p>\n

Two outdoor swimming pools are part of the complex.<\/p>\n

Please note that the pool is open only during the summer,<\/em> from late June to early September (11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.), and as the complex isn't very large, with the bleachers occupying quite a lot of space, it's often packed.<\/p>\n

However, admission is relatively inexpensive, at just under 7 euros.<\/p>\n

A card of ten can save you a lot of money.<\/p>\n

Metro<\/a><\/u>Pla\u00e7a Espanya (L1, L3)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do you prefer a pool or a lake?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the middle of the city lies a 3000m2 oasis<\/strong> in the open air.<\/p>\n

The aquatic area is so large that locals call it \"the lake\".<\/p>\n

At the heart of the Can Drag\u00f3 park<\/strong> There's something for everyone!<\/p>\n

On over twelve hectares<\/em>sports facilities, children's playgrounds, golf courses, petanque and ping pong courts...<\/p>\n

But as it's such a big place, make sure you know which part of the park you want to spend your time in before you leave...<\/p>\n

And the park is magnificent: a green lung in the city! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It's also a great place to take a stroll because it's steeped in history, with monuments to terrorism and interesting sculptures, and it's so big that cyclists will love it too!<\/p>\n

Address\u00a0<\/u>Rossel i Porcel, 7 (Sant Andreu)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The hidden pool... in the middle of the woods...<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Gr\u00e0cia is a lively, dynamic district less than twenty minutes by metro from the city center.<\/p>\n

And then Gr\u00e0cia has this incredible place: La Creueta del Coll park<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Indeed, behind the Park G\u00fcell<\/a>The little-known Vallcarca district and the famous, half-hidden La Creueta park can be found in the upper part of the city... And there's a beautiful shallow pool!<\/em><\/p>\n

The park is free of charge, and opening times vary according to the season. The park closes around 6pm in winter and around 9pm in summer.<\/p>\n

The swimming pool in the middle of town...<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Eixample district you'll find la Platja de l'Eixample in the Torre de Les Aig\u00fces Gardens<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Open only in summer (June 26 to September 7), Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 am to 6 pm.<\/p>\n

A standard ticket costs just 1.55 euros.<\/p>\n

We love this place because it lets you take a break<\/strong> when strolling through the center.<\/p>\n

An open-air pool with sand...<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Beachside pools...<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Club Nataci\u00f3 Atl\u00e8tic de la Barceloneta<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>is very close to Sant Sebasti\u00e0n beach.<\/p>\n

The club offers a wide range of facilities, including a spa with Jacuzzi, a fitness room and a solarium. There's also a paddleboard track...<\/p>\n

In terms of swimming pools, there is a indoor pool<\/strong> (33x25m) and three outdoor pools<\/strong> (20x13m, 25x21m and 25x20m)...<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Opening times vary according to the season, but on weekdays and Saturdays, the facilities are open until 11pm. On Sundays, they close at the end of the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Please check the timetable before you go!<\/p>\n

Admission costs around 14 euros for a normal ticket, plus the cost of access to the various activities and facilities.<\/p>\n

The Forum bathing area... A special place!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A sand-free space<\/strong> with infrastructures that allow people with reduced mobility to enjoy the seafront with a special area and assistance.<\/p>\n

Also, this saltwater pool is located on the coastal path and is the ideal place if you've ever wanted to visit this area by bike<\/strong>. You can then take a refreshing dip.<\/p>\n

Plus, it's free and open every day!<\/p>\n

The more sporty pools...<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If your goal is to exercise, I recommend the Piscina Sant Jordi<\/em><\/strong> (Carrer Paris, 111) or the Club de Nataci\u00f3 de Catalunya<\/em><\/strong> (Ctra. del Carmel, 5).<\/p>\n

Little known to tourists, it's the locals who come here to get back into shape.<\/p>\n
