Barcelona is a capital city on a human scale, but it's definitely not the only one. a large city with many monuments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And sometimes, you can be a bit lost and not really know where to start.<\/p>\n

Of course, Gothic quarters and the Born<\/strong><\/em> are the city's tourist districts. But there's much more to Barcelona magical districts and places<\/strong> scattered all over the city.<\/p>\n

In this article, I present six monuments<\/strong> that will help you to get out of the tourist arteries<\/strong> and discover the city from a different perspective!<\/p>\n

I'll also tell you how to get there and a few tips<\/strong> to save time, or to discover the beautiful places that are just around the corner...<\/p>\n

    Barcelona landmark No. 1: La Sagrada Familia<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Sagrada Familia<\/a> from Gaudi<\/a> to which the Catalan architect dedicated almost his entire life. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    The mythical cathedral begun in the early 20th century will hopefully be finished one day... but each time later...<\/p>\n

    The work builds up over the years, and it's a real pleasure to discover new features and advances every time. Plus, you can visit in the morning or afternoon, it's always different.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The stained-glass windows blend colors, and the interior goes from yellow to orange to purple.<\/p>\n

    If you wish to visit it, I advise you to book your tickets in advance<\/strong> because it can take several days to get an hour's visit. And yes, the Sagrada welcomes a huge number of visitors, since it's one of Spain's most visited monuments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    And for this, the number of visitors who can enter is calculated!<\/p>\n

    And climbing the towers is well worth the effort. A little scary for those afraid of heights, but the view is breathtaking!<\/p>\n

    After your visit, I also invite you to quench your thirst on Gaudi's Rambla<\/strong> and, if you still have the courage, to visit the splendid H\u00f4pital Saint-Paul<\/strong> on the other side of the Rambla<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    To get to the Sagrada, take the the yellow metro line. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Otherwise, it's about a 30-minute walk from Pla\u00e7a Catalunya.<\/p>\n

      Barcelona landmark #2: Passeig de Graci\u00e0 with Casa Battlo and Mil\u00e0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The most beautiful avenue in town!<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The one where the bourgeoisie, who became rich around the middle of the 19th century, built palaces and homes<\/strong> by the greatest architects of Catalan modernism.<\/p>\n

      It's a pleasure to stroll around and discover the luxury shops that alternate with Gaudi's houses.<\/p>\n

      Start at Pla\u00e7a Catalunya and follow the avenue.<\/p>\n

      Let yourself be carried away by the magic of this unique avenue!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

        Monument Barcelona N\u00b03: The Citadel Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If you want to recharge your batteries for an hour or so and forget you're in the heart of a city of over 1.5 million inhabitants, Parc de la Citadelle is the place to do it. thirty hectares of palm and orange trees<\/strong>\u00a0!<\/p>\n

        Your walk will include fountains, sculptures and modernist monuments.<\/strong> And meetings too!<\/p>\n

        The park is open daily from 10am to 10.30pm and admission is free.<\/p>\n

        And don't miss the park's nearby the Arc de Triomphe<\/strong> and its magnificent avenue.<\/p>\n

          Close to the Ramblas is the Pla\u00e7a Reial with its palm trees and arcades.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          A place where there's usually a lot of entertainment, especially during the peak tourist seasons. party people<\/strong> like to meet there.<\/p>\n

          However, it's still possible to enjoy a quiet morning coffee and take in the splendour...<\/p>\n

          Close to the Liceu metro station, on the red line.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

            Barcelona landmark N\u00b05: Park G\u00fcell<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Visit Park G\u00fcell<\/a> was commissioned by Eusebio G\u00fcell from Antoni Gaudi. This park is one of a kind.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Inspired by the English-style parks that blended perfectly with nature, Park G\u00fcell is made up of curves, leaning arches and mosaics that follow the foliage and movements of nature.<\/p>\n

            There's lots to see in the park, including the administrative buildings inspired by the Hansel and Gretel fairy tales, with their candy houses...<\/p>\n

            Or the monuments dedicated to nature that we've been lucky enough to see in several films, including theKlapisch's 'Auberge Espagnole'.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            We love to stroll the heights of the city and discover the breathtaking view that includes both mountains and sea...<\/p>\n

            And you can see everything from up there: la Sagrada, Torre Agbar, Montjuic...<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

            To get there, take the green metro line from Catalunya and stop at Pla\u00e7a Lesseps.<\/p>\n

            From here, take the Travesera de Dalt and start climbing.<\/p>\n

            To make your ascent easier, because it's quite steep, borrow escalators<\/strong> that will spare your physical fitness.<\/p>\n

            And then, let yourself be carried away by the course created by Gaudi...<\/strong><\/p>\n

              Barcelona Monument N\u00b06: Holy Cross Cathedral<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Visit Gothic cathedral<\/a> is located in the chic Born district.<\/p>\n

              She is monumental<\/strong> and its strategic position means you're both in the old town and close to the sea.<\/p>\n

              Loaded with history, you can visit it all year round...<\/p>\n

              The museum is well worth a visit if you want to discover its legends and architectural splendours.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

               <\/p>\n

              But that's not all!<\/strong><\/p>\n

              It's so hard to talk about just a few monuments, so I invite you to discover the Pla\u00e7a de Espanya with its fabulous magic fountain that takes you up to the hill of Montjuic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

              And the Torre Agbar in the heart of Poble Nou.<\/p>\n
