You can easily spend more if you want to stay somewhere nicer than a youth hostel, but this is a good range for planning your budget.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc122400021\"><\/a><strong>How long will it take to visit Barcelona?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Barcelona is one of those cities where you can easily spend more than a week exploring, but it's recommended that you spend at least 4 or 5 days in the city.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you're planning to take part in the city's famous nightlife<\/strong>If you're looking for a longer stay, you may want to add a few days to your visit, so you have enough time to recuperate and explore the city at the same time.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc122400022\"><\/a><strong>When is the best time to visit Barcelona?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The most popular time to visit Barcelona is summer, but that means tons of tourists and sweltering summer weather. <strong>over 29 degrees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Winters are mild and this is also where you'll find the fewest tourists.<\/p>\n<p>Late spring and early autumn bring excellent weather and fewer crowds than in summer. Night doesn't start until around 10 p.m., and you'll find people eating in the restaurants.<strong> well after midnight<\/strong>. Then it's off to the bars and clubs until 6am. There are plenty of places to party!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Enjoy the beauty of the city<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Barcelona is undoubtedly a beautiful city, and boasts some of the world's finest architecture. <strong>the most impressive in Europe<\/strong>. Strolling through its charming medieval streets is a real pleasure.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Spending time at the beach<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Barcelona is ranked as the best seaside city in the world, so it's not surprising that <strong>the beach plays a huge role in the town's identity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Visit the Museums <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Barcelona has everything you're looking for, including <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/barcelona-museum\/\"><strong>a host of excellent museums<\/strong><\/a>. You can also enjoy the magnificent architecture that turns the city into an open-air museum!<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc122400024\"><\/a><strong>Barcelona's 3 best districts to visit<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You can't talk about Barcelona without mentioning its incredible neighborhoods. You'll be <strong>a joy to explore on foot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Gothic Quarter (Barri G\u00f2tic)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Barcelona's most visited and oldest district is called the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/barcelonas-gothic-quarter\/\">Gothic district<\/a> (Barri G\u00f2tic) and contains many major attractions, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/saint-cross-cathedral-barcelona\/\">Barcelona Cathedral<\/a> and a handful of Roman ruins. Yes, the place is overrun by other tourists, but getting lost in these winding medieval alleys is still a real pleasure. <strong>one of the most beautiful things to do when you visit Barcelona.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Ramblas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>My second favorite neighborhood is <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/las-ramblas-barcelona\/\">Las Ramblas<\/a>. It's a pedestrian street lined with boutiques, chain stores, tourist stalls, caf\u00e9s and restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>It's Barcelona's most visited tourist spot, so it's busy all day and all night. Caf\u00e9s and restaurants are very expensive, so <strong>budget accordingly if you decide to have a drink here<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/la-boqueria\/\">La Boqueria<\/a> is a huge covered market located next to Las Ramblas, and has been rated the best market in the world. If you want to escape the hordes of tourists, head for Pla\u00e7a Reial, a beautiful square just off Las Ramblas.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>El Born<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/el-born\/\">El Born<\/a> is Barcelona's most fashionable and artistic district, and its medieval alleyways add to its charm. In addition to its tapas bars, restaurants, avant-garde galleries, caf\u00e9s and vintage boutiques, this district is home to <strong>the impressive <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/santa-maria-del-mar\/\">Santa Maria del Mar<\/a><\/strong> and the excellent Santa Caterina market.<\/p>\n<p>El Born is also where you'll find much of Barcelona's famous nightlife. If you want to party, you'll often find yourself here.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc122400025\"><\/a><strong>Not-to-be-missed monuments in Barcelona<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As with any city with a rich history, there are several monuments not to be missed when visiting Barcelona.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>La Sagrada Familia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If there's one thing you see in Barcelona, it should be <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/sagrada-familia-interior-tickets\/\">the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia<\/a>. This iconic Catholic church has been under construction since 1882 and is not due to be completely finished until 2030. A small part of the park is free to enter, but the majority of the park is timed and you won't be able to walk around it. <strong>enjoy your visit for just a few minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>La Pedrera and Casa Batll\u00f3<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La Pedrera, sometimes called <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/casa-mila-barcelona-pedrera\/\">Casa Mila<\/a>and Casa Batll\u00f3 are two buildings by Gaud\u00ed. You can visit the inside of the buildings, but they're also fun to observe from the street. Le Pedrera offers superb views over the rooftops, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/casa-batllo-barcelona\/\">Casa Batll\u00f3<\/a> has a more interesting interior. If you're going to Barcelona on a budget, be warned that both of these places are quite expensive to visit.
