If you'd like to find out more about the place, I suggest you read <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/las-ramblas-barcelona\/\">the article I wrote on the subject.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124238772\"><\/a><strong>Place de Catalogne<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You've now reached Pla\u00e7a de Catalunya, at the northern end of Las Ramblas.<\/p>\n<p>Separating the old town and the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/l-eixample-barcelona\/\">Eixample district<\/a>is the beating heart of Barcelona and <strong>a privileged meeting place for residents and visitors alike.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No stopover in Barcelona would be complete without a glimpse of the extraordinary properties of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/gaudi-barcelona\/\">Gaud\u00ed.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two of them, the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/casa-batllo-barcelona\/\">Casa Batll\u00f3<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/casa-mila-barcelona-pedrera\/\">Casa Mil\u00e0<\/a>can be found on the<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/passeig-de-gracia\/\"> Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia<\/a>near Pla\u00e7a de Catalunya. To avoid disappointment, I strongly recommend buying your tickets in advance.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124238773\"><\/a><strong>Barcelona cruise stopover: Casa Batllo<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Antoni Gaudi's unique architectural creations partly define Barcelona and <strong>are a must-see.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Casa Batll\u00f3 is the first of his two large buildings on Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia. Inspired by the shapes and colors of marine life, Gaudi created this whimsical building <strong>between 1904 and 1906.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even if you don't have time to take a look inside, it's worth stopping to admire its facade covered with mosaics evoking fish scales.<\/p>\n<p>The undulating, sinuous design continues inside with exceptional details, including <strong>beautiful stained glass and coloured tiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124238774\"><\/a><strong>La Pedrera (Casa Mil\u00e0)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/la-pedrera-barcelona\/\">La Pedrera<\/a>or Casa Mil\u00e0, is Gaudi's second building on Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia.<\/p>\n<p>This is an atypical building by Gaudi. It appears to have been carved from solid rock, softened by undulating lines and iron ornamentation.<\/p>\n<p>From its roof, you have a bird's-eye view of Barcelona and the chimneys and ventilation towers of Casa Mil\u00e0, <strong>which are works of art in themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124238775\"><\/a><strong>Barcelona cruise stopover: La Sagrada Familia<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>End your stopover in Barcelona at the city's most emblematic monument, La Sagrada Fam\u00edlia.<\/p>\n<p>The Sagrada Fam\u00edlia has been under construction since 1882. Gaud\u00ed was still working on it before his death in 1926 at the age of 73.<\/p>\n<p>The exterior of this masterpiece of modernist architecture features symbolic sculptures and is <strong>crowned by Gothic honeycomb towers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sagrada Fam\u00edlia Basilica opens :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every day <strong>9 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On December 25 and 26, and January 1\u1d49\u02b3 and 6, opening times are from 9 am to 2 pm.<\/p>\n<p>You need <strong>33 \u20ac per person<\/strong> to visit the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia.
