Catalans <strong>take this dish very seriously.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Poble Sec, they're served in abundance. You'll rarely have a meal in a restaurant in this neighborhood without this delicacy on the table.<\/p>\n<p>It's a specialty I recommend you try. I'll leave it to you <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/paella-barcelona\/\">consult it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124243980\"><\/a><strong>Explore the Moss\u00e8n Costa i Llobera Gardens<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Poble Sec is located in the Montju\u00efc district. Here, people will often ask you whether you've been to Montju\u00efc or not, and they refer to it as \"Montju\u00efc\". <strong>at the top of the hill overlooking the town.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Mossen Costa i Lolbera Gardens are a magnificent botanical garden at the foot of the<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/montjuic-park-barcelona\/\"> Montju\u00efc hill<\/a>. They face the ocean. This garden is absolutely breathtaking for an afternoon stroll as the sun sets over the sea.<\/p>\n<p>Open every day of the year. Its home is in Poble Sec. A guided walking tour of this district will take you right past this impressive building. The building's architecture is designer and there's a lot to see here.<\/p>\n<p>Admission to CaixaForum is free. You will find <strong>art exhibitions, musical performances, educational lectures and plays every day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The venue opens :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday to Sunday <strong>10 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124243982\"><\/a><strong>Tapas at La Platilleria<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It won't take you long to choose your favorite spot for authentic tapas in Poble Sec. In fact, the best tapas in the area can be found at La Platilleria.<\/p>\n<p>If the place isn't cheap, it has the advantage of being lively, and its menu is phenomenal. You'll need four or five plates to get the most out of the experience. I advise you not to go alone. <strong>if you'd like to sample some of the local specialities!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The site remains open:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday to Saturday <strong>from 7.30 pm to 11.30 pm<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124243983\"><\/a><strong>Poble Sec: spend some time at the Museum of Catalan Archaeology<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Some people only visit the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya to see the outside. Indeed, it's one of the most impressive art deco buildings you'll find in the country.<\/p>\n<p>If you've enjoyed the outside, you can explore the inside. The prehistoric artifacts from the early years of mankind are fascinating, and to make things even better, it's almost never crowded here. So you're free to move around freely and <strong>take advantage of all the rooms on site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The museum opens :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday to Sunday <strong>9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124243984\"><\/a><strong>Take in a show at the El Molino theater<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Barcelona has a thriving arts scene, and many shows take place in Poble Sec. The arts are extremely popular here, and there are a number of theaters in the area.<\/p>\n<p>El Molino is located just <strong>next to the Paral-lel metro station<\/strong> and is a magnificent burlesque theater offering all kinds of shows on their small stage. From flamenco dancing to theatrical performances, you'll find plenty of entertainment here.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124243985\"><\/a><strong>Poble Sec: dance the night away at Sala Apolo\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/apolo-barcelona\/\"> Sala Apolo<\/a> has been located in Poble Sec since the 1940s and was once the city's most popular ballroom.<\/p>\n<p>Today, it functions as a dance club, with two huge separate dance floors to carry you into the evening. Admission costs \u20ac10. The place opens every day and you can <strong>get there by exiting at the paral-le metro station.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc124243986\"><\/a><strong>Climb to Parque del Mirador<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This quiet little park sits atop Montju\u00efc, offering panoramic views of the city and the ocean. It's ideal for a stroll, or to settle down with a book or picnic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The site remains open day and night<\/strong> and you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city in the evening. However, we advise you to visit in the morning to enjoy the peace and quiet.<\/p>\n<p>Poble Sec is a diverse place that should be part of your Barcelona itinerary.
