La Castanyada celebrates the chestnut harvest in many of Spain's provinces. The bonfire prepared to roast the nuts becomes a place where people gather to <strong>welcome the arrival of autumn and share freshly distilled wine and cider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This festival, also celebrated in Portugal under the name of Magusto, fills the public fairs of Castanyes.
