Carrer de Blai reinterprets this tradition and presents an urban landscape that transports visitors to such emblematic places as <strong>the Parte Vieja of San Sebasti\u00e1n or the narrow streets of the historic quarters of Granada or Zaragoza<\/strong>to name just three mythical cities where you can find delicious tapas.<\/p>\n<p>There are four main reasons for the current success of this venue:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The concentration of numerous bars in a single pedestrian street<\/li>\n<li>The wide variety of food on offer in the bars<\/li>\n<li>Carrer de Blai is located in two of Barcelona's most popular tourist areas.<\/li>\n<li>Prices are very, very affordable, so the tapas experience won't do irreparable damage to your travel budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc126391618\"><\/a><strong>What is a visit to Carrer de Blai like?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The best thing to do on this street is to go <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/tapas-barcelona\/\">eat tapas.<\/a> Do as the locals do. Forget dinner in one place and get ready for a pub crawl. Walk into a bar, have a beer with a couple of tapas and move on to the next bar. This is <strong>tapeo culture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When choosing bars, I suggest you let your intuition guide you. Order your drink and take an empty plate.<\/p>\n<p>You can then select the tapas that catch your eye the most. Be careful not to overdo it, remember that there are <strong>plenty of bars to visit in the evening!<\/strong> When you go to pay, the waiter will count the number of different sticks and plates before charging you.<\/p>\n<p>Many bars have different prices depending on the complexity of the aperitif preparation and the ingredients used. Information is usually prominently displayed behind the counter.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc126391620\"><\/a><strong>What's my favourite bar?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are many bars on this street. However, if I had to recommend one over another, I'd send you to <strong>the Blai 9 bar for your tapeo evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It's a very small bar. The price range is a little above the average on the street, but the level of elaboration of the tapas is much higher and that's why I love this place. They always have new recipes and elaborate preparations. The staff there are also very friendly.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc126391621\"><\/a><strong>When should you visit Carrer de Blai?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Carrer de Blai comes alive at the end of the day. If you arrive around 6 p.m., you'll find half-empty bars with plenty of chairs to sit on. Around 9 p.m., the place starts to fill up with people and enter the bars. If you like peace and quiet, <strong>arrive a little earlier.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From Monday to Thursday, the street is quieter. From Friday to Sunday, it's more crowded.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc126391622\"><\/a><strong>Where is this street and how do I get there?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Carrer de Blai is located in the district of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/poble-sec\/\">Poble Sec<\/a>part of the <strong>Sants district-<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/montjuic\/\">Montju\u00efc<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The bars on Carrer de Blai are scattered along the street on both sides, between Avinguda del Paral-lel and Carrer del Roser.<\/p>\n<p>The easiest way to get to Carrer de Blai is to take the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/metro-barcelona\/\">metro<\/a>. <strong>Take line 2 (purple) to Paral-lel station<\/strong> or, better still, line 3 (green) to Poble Sec station. The latter is just a few meters from Carrer de Blai.<\/p>\n<p>Now you know how to get to the venue. Now all you have to do is decide on the evening.
