La <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/place-catalunya-barcelona\/\">place Catalunya<\/a> is Barcelona's largest and most central square. It is the point that connects the oldest part of the city with <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/l-eixample-barcelona\/\">l'Eixample<\/a> built in the XIX\u1d49 century.<\/p>\n<p>This place is <strong>famous for its shopping malls and fountains<\/strong>. Pla\u00e7a Catalunya is also known for a curious fact: the number of pigeons that congregate there. Some of the city's main roads cross here, making it one of Barcelona's most important squares. <strong>a major transportation hub<\/strong>. It's also one of the city's main tourist attractions, home to many places of interest.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/magic-fountain-barcelona\/\">Montju\u00efc Magic Fountain<\/a> offers a spectacular show of music, lights and water acrobatics, usually on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The Arena is a former bullring converted into a shopping mall. Finally, the Torres Venecianes are two 47-metre-high towers modelled on the Campanile di San Marco in Venice. <strong>A place not to be missed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc127090191\"><\/a><strong>Barcelona square: Reial square<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As the name suggests, <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/place-reial-barcelona\/\">Place Reial<\/a><\/strong> (Royal Square) is dedicated to the monarchy. It was built in the XIX\u1d49 century and was dedicated to the king of the time, Ferran VII. The square is one of Barcelona's most beautiful and is one of the main points of interest in the city. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/barcelonas-gothic-quarter\/\">Barri G\u00f2tic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With numerous restaurants and clubs, you can find plenty of people enjoying the square day and night. Place Reial is home to some of Barcelona's most famous alternative clubs, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/jamboree-barcelona\/\">Jamboree<\/a> and Sidecar.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc127090192\"><\/a><strong>Place Prim<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The most emblematic square in <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/poblenou-district-barcelona\/\">Poblenou<\/a> is also home to the oldest residences. These humble white 19th\u1d49 century buildings lining the square were the homes when Poblenou was a fishing village. Small and charming, the Prim <strong>doesn't need a lot of frills to seduce passers-by.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are three fantastic omb\u00fa trees, an unspectacular fountain, a few benches and just one restaurant!<\/p>\n<p>After visiting the square, treat yourself to a refreshing horchata or an ice cream at T\u00edo Che, a classic on Poblenou's Ramblas, <strong>a stone's throw from Place Prim.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc127090193\"><\/a><strong>Place de Barcelone: Place du Sortidor<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/poble-sec\/\">Poble Sec<\/a> once neglected, has quickly become the new favorite spot for locals looking to escape the more touristy areas. Beyond the chaos of Blai's bars, Pla\u00e7a del Sortidor is a haven for residents and visitors in search of<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/cheap-tapas-barcelona\/\">a tapas<\/a> or a beer.<\/p>\n<p>It's hard to find a prettier little square in Poble sec, <strong>despite the underground parking lot right in the middle.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc127090194\"><\/a><strong>Les Corts<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Nothing eclipses the bell tower of the church of Santa Maria del Remei. At 40 meters high, it has no competition in this square surrounded by beautiful buildings from the XIX\u1d49 and XX\u1d49 centuries. You're in the heart of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/l-eixample-barcelona\/\">l'Eixample<\/a> de les Corts and nothing to remind you that bustling avenues and skyscrapers are just around the corner.<\/p>\n<p>Pla\u00e7a de la Conc\u00f2rdia is the most charming spot in the district. The Antiga Farm\u00e0cia, which began selling its potions in 1860, and the Mas Deu civic center, housed in a magnificent Modernist palace dating from 1897, <strong>are still part of history.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are many squares in Barcelona that are well worth a visit. Truly quiet places, you can relax on the terrace of a bar or caf\u00e9.
