Beach lovers will love it, but those in town for culture or nightlife might be less impressed. It's isolated at the end of the long <strong>Passeig Joan de Borb\u00f3<\/strong> and is just a few minutes' walk from the center. It's a high-end hotel, but the place remains elegant and affordable. On site, you enjoy a pool\/terrace and a bar, the Eclipse, on the 26\u1d49 floor. The rooftop, with its superb infinity pool, banquette beds and private \"cabins\" enjoys <strong>the best views of Barcelona.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recent additions range from an indoor pool to a fully functional recording studio, and the gym boasts the latest machines on the market. Hotel spas can be austere, but at Barcelona's W, <strong>you won't be disappointed.<\/strong> You will be welcomed into a unique atmosphere and accompanied throughout your treatment.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc128790498\"><\/a><strong>Le W in Barcelona: breathtaking rooms<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The spectacular view is beyond reproach. I advise you to request a city or sea view when booking your room. The rooms are also quite simple. Decorated in hues designed to reflect the sea and sand, they are dark compared to the brightness of the lobby, spa and pool area.<\/p>\n<p>The showers and toilets face the view and are all fully equipped. <strong>aromatic toiletries with lemon and sage<\/strong>. There are different types of room, with price differences depending mainly on view and size.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc128790499\"><\/a><strong>Catering options<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dining options are plentiful, and include the Salt Beach restaurant as well as the Wave, next to the lobby, with a water feature and floating fireplace. A more lavish scene <strong>takes place upstairs in the Eclipse cocktail bar.<\/strong> The best, however, is probably chef Carles Abellan's Bravo 24, for its classic Catalan dishes and superb seafood.<\/p>\n<p>Breakfast is served in Wave, Bravo24 and Salt, and offers a wide choice. The basic version is a generous, frequently replenished buffet of hot and cold dishes. There's also a Retox buffet on Sundays. <strong>from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc128790500\"><\/a><strong>The W in Barcelona: excellent value for money<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The W offers attractive rates for the services it provides. You can expect to pay :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>247 \u20ac for a double room<\/strong> in low season. In high season, prices can rise <strong>to over \u20ac700.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Breakfast not included costs \u20ac33 for the standard buffet and \u20ac40 for Sunday brunch. Last but not least, you'll enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the establishment.<\/p>\n<p>The W in Barcelona is the perfect choice for a family vacation.
