It's a great way to see the sights, and it's a great way to ease into your trip if you've just arrived from a long plane or bus journey.<\/p>\n<p>Once you've got your bearings, a good place to start is the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/ciutadella-park\/\">Parc de la Ciutadella<\/a>. It's an ideal place to escape Barcelona's bustling streets. Here, you'll find gravel paths winding through the lush park of palm trees and tropical vegetation. While you're here, don't miss <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/arc-de-triomphe-barcelona\/\">the Arc de Triomf<\/a>. This giant arch was the main entrance to the 1888 Universal Exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>Next stop: <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/palace-of-catalan-music\/\">Palau de la Musica Catalana<\/a>. Built between 1905 and 1908, this magnificent concert hall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. His work is legendary, and no visit to Barcelona is complete without seeing him.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/sagrada-familia-interior-tickets\/\">Sagrada Familia<\/a> is by far Gaud\u00ed's most famous work, but it is also unfinished. In fact, it's a garden complex covering several hectares that has been designed and <strong>built between 1900 and 1914<\/strong>. Today, it's also a World Heritage Site. The park is fairly close to La Sagrada Familia, so it's easy to visit in the morning or afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/casa-batllo-barcelona\/\">Casa Batll\u00f3<\/a> is a building restored by Antoni Gaud\u00ed in the early 1900s. He completely reorganized the exterior to suit his aesthetic, which was strongly<strong> influenced by the Art Nouveau style<\/strong> (like everything else he's designed). He spent two years redoing the first floor, patio and roof.<\/p>\n<p>Gaudi worked on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/casa-mila-barcelona-pedrera\/\">Casa Mil\u00e0<\/a> from 1906 to 1910. His other name is \"<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/la-pedrera-barcelona\/\">La Pedrera<\/a>\"(the stone quarry), as the building has a limestone facade. And what better way than to <strong>to the top of the city?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your day begins at the harbor cable car. This 1,450-metre-long cable car connects <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/barceloneta-neighborhood\/\">la Barceloneta<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/montjuic\/\">Montju\u00efc<\/a>. The 10-minute cable car ride gives you an incredible view of Barcelona. You'll see the city on one side and the sea on the other.<\/p>\n<p>A return ticket costs \u20ac16.50 and a one-way ticket just \u20ac11. Afterwards, you're free to visit Montju\u00efc. Once in <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/costa-brava-resort\/\">Girona<\/a>You can climb to the top of the ancient city walls, wander aimlessly through the narrow streets of one of Europe's best-preserved Jewish quarters, and sit back and enjoy the sights. <strong>relax in one of the many picturesque caf\u00e9s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can reach Girona from Barcelona in 80 minutes.<strong> with the Renfe train<\/strong> or just under 40 minutes on the high-speed train, although tickets are a little more expensive.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc129170769\"><\/a><strong>Barcelona in 5 days, day 5: end your trip in Montserrat<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>What better way to end your trip than by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/montserrat-barcelona\/\">Montserrat<\/a>. The Montserrat mountain range is just outside the city, so it only takes an hour to get there by train. It's a complete contrast to the bustling urban atmosphere of Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>People come to Montserrat for the views of the high mountains and a glimpse of the beautiful Spanish countryside. You can choose to <strong>take the cable car or funicular up the mountain.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don't forget to visit <strong>the famous shrine of the Black Madonna at the Benedictine monastery<\/strong> and stroll through the park. There's also a valley of unique rock pillars that have been created for photographic purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Visiting Barcelona and the surrounding area in 5 days isn't that difficult.
