One of its greatest attractions is the magic fountain of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/montjuic\/\">Montju\u00efc<\/a>where you can enjoy a spectacle of water, light and music.<\/p>\n<p>The area is also home to the former arena, now a large shopping center. A perfect place if you want to <strong>an afternoon of shopping.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc130123651\"><\/a><strong>Barcelona must-sees: Montju\u00efc Castle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At the top of the hill, Montju\u00efc Castle is an ancient military stronghold classified as a Site of Cultural Interest and National Heritage. While you're there, I suggest you fix your attention on its beautiful stained glass windows.<\/p>\n<p>The basilica was the inspiration for writer Ildefonso Falcones and his famous novel Cathedral of the Sea. Located at the foot of the Collserola mountains, it takes its name from the labyrinth of pruned cypress trees that you can visit and explore in the lower part of the garden.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the land on which the park stands belonged to the Desvalls family, who donated it to the town council in 1967.
