At that time, the people of Barcelona used to bathe here for the quality of the water. Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach is part of a group of several beaches joined together.<\/p>\n<p>Although they are different beaches, it's hard to say where Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach ends and Sant Miquel begins. Together, they mark the beginning (or end) of the beach promenade of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourbarcelone.fr\/en\/barceloneta-neighborhood\/\">la Barceloneta<\/a>. Both beaches measure over 1,500 metres.<\/p>\n<p>While the place is popular with tourists and locals alike, this doesn't mean it's constantly packed with two bathers. In fact, there's plenty of room to avoid crowding the beachfront. So, if you'd like to visit.., <strong>you're sure to enjoy a quiet moment for a swim.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In terms of beach users, around 70 % are Barcelona residents. However, they are becoming increasingly popular with foreigners. They train <strong>usually in a reserved area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach also has nudist areas. However, these areas are demarcated and you won't come face to face with groups of naturists. In fact, along with Marbella beach, Sant Sebasti\u00e0 is <strong>Barcelona's only other beach with a nudist zone.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can also take advantage of the various facilities on site. Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach has :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public showers and toilets<\/li>\n<li>Checkroom<\/li>\n<li>Sports facilities<\/li>\n<li>Ice cream and beverage stands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to all these facilities, you can relax on this beach with its special decor.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc130287827\"><\/a><strong>Sant Sebasti\u00e0: the beach closest to Barcelona's W hotel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Another feature of Barcelona's Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach is that it is almost <strong>at the foot of the hotel W<\/strong>. This huge sail-shaped hotel welcomes guests from all over the world. In a way, you're enjoying <strong>a setting worthy of Dubai.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc130287828\"><\/a><strong>How do I get to Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are several means of transport available to get you to your destination. You can take :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take metro line 4 and exit at <strong>Barceloneta station<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>the bus on <strong>lines 39, 64, V15<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>streetcar to <strong>Ciutadella Villa Ol\u00edmpica stop<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When in Barcelona, if you're looking for a swim, I recommend Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach. It's well laid out and offers plenty of food and drink options to quench your thirst or enjoy a snack during your visit.
