Boasting the best Guinness in town, the Irish owners are particularly proud of this place. Every evening, dozens of people flock to the restaurant in this small Barcelona bar for delicious beers.
They also offer an excellent cocktail menu, and if you're feeling peckish, tapas and fresh snacks are prepared daily. It's the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
Penny Bangers is located on Carrer Ample, right next to Las Ramblas. You won't have any trouble finding this place. Indeed, the surrounding hustle and bustle is quite noisy. to guide you to this bar.
Tasteful decoration
The walls are covered with bespoke works of art created by the owners, and the whole place gives the impression of entering the home of someone filled with mismatched pieces of furniture that work perfectly together.
A modern and unusual decor that you won't find anywhere else in Barcelona.
What are the opening hours?
You can visit Penny Bangers:
- Monday 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- Friday to Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The Ocaña
They have a wide selection of just about everything in this place. Nothing is missing and you can spend a great evening enjoying some of Barcelona's best beers and cocktails. Grab a Caña, relax and watch the nightlife unfold.
This place is open all day and all night until around 2am. It's a good place to have a drink before going clubbing, as it's located right next to the Jamboreeone of my favorite clubs (I wrote about it in an article you can find here).
The venue is in a huge location in one of Barcelona's best spots, on the Plaça Reial, with a huge terrace on which you may have the chance to sit down if you arrive early enough.

Best bar in Barcelona: Paradiso
You're spoilt for choice for the best cocktails at this bar, including all the usual classics and a list of contemporary creations of their own. Cocktails are made with spirits and premium ingredients.
This place is always busy, so be prepared to queue! However, the wait is really worth it.
When you finally enter, you'll be transported to one of the city's finest modern gourmet cocktail bars.

Bar Marsella
Walking through the doors of Bar Marsella is like stepping back in time. It's said to be the first bar in Barcelona and former customers include Picasso, Dali and Hemingway.
What makes this place famous is their absinthe. It's even known as Barcelona's original absinthe bar.
It's a pleasant place to go for a digestif and a chat with friends afterwards. a hearty meal in one of Barcelona's restaurants.
The bar is just around the corner from Las Ramblas, on one of the main streets linking it to Raval. The place looks old and its interior design hasn't changed in over 100 years.

Best bar in Barcelona: L'Éclipse
Located on the 26ᵉ floor of the iconic hotel WIt offers an impressive view of Barcelona's coastline and some very good cocktails. While the cocktails may seem a little pricey, you'll be delighted with the experience the place has to offer.
L'Éclipse opens at 6 p.m. and runs late into the night. This place fills up quickly around 9 p.m., so I suggest you arrive early.
