Why is Carrer de Blai such a success?

Carrer de Blai reinterprets this tradition and presents an urban landscape that transports visitors to such emblematic places as the Parte Vieja of San Sebastián or the narrow streets of the historic quarters of Granada or Zaragozato name just three mythical cities where you can find delicious tapas.
There are four main reasons for the current success of this venue:
- The concentration of numerous bars in a single pedestrian street
- The wide variety of food on offer in the bars
- Carrer de Blai is located in two of Barcelona's most popular tourist areas.
- Prices are very, very affordable, so the tapas experience won't do irreparable damage to your travel budget.
What is a visit to Carrer de Blai like?
The best thing to do on this street is to go eat tapas. Do as the locals do. Forget dinner in one place and get ready for a pub crawl. Walk into a bar, have a beer with a couple of tapas and move on to the next bar. This is tapeo culture.
When choosing bars, I suggest you let your intuition guide you. Enter the bar, take a look at the counter, see if the delicacies on display make your mouth water.
Spend an unforgettable evening
Within each bar, the pattern is very similar. Order your drink and take an empty plate.
You can then select the tapas that catch your eye the most. Be careful not to overdo it, remember that there are plenty of bars to visit in the evening! When you go to pay, the waiter will count the number of different sticks and plates before charging you.
Many bars have different prices depending on the complexity of the aperitif preparation and the ingredients used. Information is usually prominently displayed behind the counter.
What's my favourite bar?
There are many bars on this street. However, if I had to recommend one over another, I'd send you to the Blai 9 bar for your tapeo evening.
It's a very small bar. The price range is a little above the average on the street, but the level of elaboration of the tapas is much higher and that's why I love this place. They always have new recipes and elaborate preparations. The staff there are also very friendly.
