If you're looking for tasty seafood, or a delicious paella Barraca is the perfect choice. Bay windows line the upper floor of this restaurant, offering magnificent views, especially if you sit near the window.
The food is delicious, the staff quick to respond and ready to accommodate any dietary restrictions. It's also one of the only restaurants with a strictly vegan paella that makes your mouth water. Barraca is the perfect restaurant for a good lunch on the beach.
Don't forget to book, especially at weekends, as it fills up extremely quickly!

La Guingueta
A joint effort by Carles Abellan and Joan Escriba (of Xiringuito Escriba), La Guingueta is a more economical version of its upscale counterpart, Escriba. Located directly on the beach, the food is delicious with a range of salads, tapasseafood, ice cream, burgers and a wide range of drinks and cocktails.
There are two Guinguetas, one in Barceloneta and the other opposite Escriba, near the Bogatell beach. Both are excellent and always crowded. You cannot make a reservation. I therefore advise you toget there before 1 pm if you don't want to queue.
On the spot, I recommend you try the mussels in white wine sauce and the quinoa salad - they're a real delight!
La Guingueta opens:
- Every day noon to 1 a.m.
Barcelona beach restaurants: l'Escriba

This is an excellent seaside restaurant for a birthday party, romantic lunch or evening out, as it offers a full menu with plenty of seafood and cocktails. Escriba is a top-of-the-range restaurant, but not at all pretentious. The staff are friendly and eager to please, especially if there's a special occasion.
I advise you to book before dropping in, especially at weekends, as the restaurant is packed.

Barcelona beach restaurants: l'Agua
It's hard to beat Agua's location. Located directly along the promenade, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Agua is one of the city's trendiest restaurants. It offers daily fresh seafood to its customers.
Part of the Tragaluz restaurant chain, it's a great place to relax by the water. If you're in the mood for fish, shrimp or mussels among many other options.
L'Agua is as much a restaurant as a nightclub. You can dine late and dance the night away. I advise you to pay particular attention to their tapas and cocktails. They go perfectly with the view of the sunset.
