It's all top quality and served in a relaxed setting. Perfect for a festive meal or dinner with friends.

Not so long ago, Betlem was a place that helped shape the palates of those living in theEixample with a variety of products that showed there was life outside the big supermarkets.
With a regular clientele, VÃctor Ferrer, a chef trained in the great kitchens, has decided to close up store and turn it into a "restaurant". a tapas bar and tasting called Betlem Miscel-là nia Gastronòmica.
Barcelona's best tapas: Xanc i Meli
Experienced in the world of taverns, Xanc i Meli applies the formula that makes their fish dishes favorites to other culinary delights. The menu, though succinct, is tasty and well executed. On the menu: cod with garlic mousseline and ratatouille, cuttlefish with dumplings tinted with squid ink, tripe and pea stew.
In a world of bars dedicated to fried food, tataki and ceviche, at Xanc i Meli we're big fans of spoon-fed dishes. For a sweet treat, try the magnificent homemade tarte Tatin or "tapones de Cadaqués", small sponge cakes sprinkled with sugar.
The Polleria Fontana
Polleria Fontana isn't just a chicken restaurant. It's a tapas bar-restaurant between the metro Fontana and Joanic. Chef Nil Ros and his team are dedicated to traditional Catalan cuisine and homemade dishes based on his grandmother's recipes.
Everything is fresh and you'll find classic dishes and perfectly executed tapas. If you're looking for traditional fare, they even make paellas.
Barcelona's best tapas: Quimet & Quimet
Filled to the brim with dusty wine bottles, this classic bar makes up in tapas what it lacks in space. Specialties include conservaswhich are not always to the taste of non-Spaniards, but the "montaditos are spectacular.
Try salmon sashimi with cream cheese, honey and soy, cod, passata and black olive pâté. Arrive early for have a chance of getting a seat.
La Cova Fumada
This tavern, frequented by those who work on or near the sea, must be one of the few in Barcelona to offer hearty lunches. Every day, you can enjoy lunch specialities such as : simmered chickpeas, "capipota" and salt cod.
La Cova Fumada is said to be the birthplace of the "bomba" of spicy potatoes and minced meat, and as Josep Maria says, it was here that, over 60 years ago, his grandmother Maria Pla invented this local delicacy.
Barcelona's best tapas: La Mundana
The restaurant takes its name from a series of dishes from around the world that you'll find on the menu. For example, fresh tuna tataki with Asian flavors, octopus with thinly sliced Iberian tocino, saffron rouille sauce or Duroc pork skewer with turmeric hummus.
Meat and fish, such as octopus, are cooked on the grill. If you like your tapas more typical, you'll also find cold tapas and the usual canned accompaniments, as well as croquettes, calamari and patatas bravas. You'll find a good selection of smoked meats on site.
While most restaurants offer quality tapas in Barcelona, there are a number of other restaurants that do, I suggest you rely on this list to find exceptional dishes.. You won't be disappointed.
